Our fourth book of the Dog Detectives’ series is off being illustrated. Yippee!
We love Monika’s bright and whimsical illustrations so we can’t wait to see the first sketches.
Without giving too much away, this fourth book finds the Dog Detectives helping a very special opossum find her way home. It is inspired by our six month bicycle tour across America. The book highlights some of America’s most iconic landscapes and cities. And of course, the Dog Detectives meet a host of characters along the way. Just watch out for the hungry alligators!
The publishing date is the Fall of 2012. We will be sure to keep you posted and give you some sneak peeks along the way.
Our publisher Maverick also has some great new titles coming out in February…
The Book Depository is an online bookstore that offers great prices and free shipping.
Paco has always been a skinny dog. He has a build similar to that of a whippet. His long skinny legs and tall pointy ears seem at odds with the rest of his body. The first time my grandmother met Paco, she said, “My, oh my, he sure is a homely dog.” Others have compared him to Splinter from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Myself, I like to think of him as ‘unique’ looking.
Since returning to Canada after our UK book tour, Paco has become ‘one’ with my mother’s over-sized sofa. He even has to be coerced into coming for a walk.
Icy temperatures and heavy snowfall in the Lower Mainland caused major road closures, multiple vehicle accidents and transit delays. It didn’t however stop Jack, Paco and Thor from getting outside and having some fun.
We are all glad not to be sleeping in our tent. HAPPY NEWYEAR!
